Rural areas of Utah, in particular, demonstrate the most need for such initiatives. Regions like Box Elder and Weber counties, where agriculture is a primary economic driver, often lack educational programs that effectively link agriculture to environmental stewardship. With a young population that is increasingly disconnected from nature due to urbanization, there is an urgent need to foster a generation that understands and values agricultural sustainability in alignment with Utah’s unique environment.
The funding opportunity aims to support programs that integrate outdoor learning experiences with agricultural education.
